- Speech stays on your computer. Recognition runs locally; only the text of your request is sent.

- Secrets stay secret. Keys live in your system’s secure keychain, and Cougny never reads a password field.
- No tracking. No analytics. Everything Cougny keeps lives in one folder you can delete.

Questions, answered.
What do I need?
Today: a Mac with Apple Silicon on macOS 13 or later (Windows is coming soon), and an API key for the AI you want to use. Setup walks you through the permissions Cougny needs.
Can I stop it?
Any time: press ⌥Esc from anywhere, or just say “stop”. Cougny checks before every single action.
Why does it need Accessibility and Screen Recording?
To see your screen and to click and type for you, the same permissions any automation tool needs. Your system asks you once for each.
Is my voice sent anywhere?
No. Speech is turned into text on your computer by a local model. Only the text of your request goes to the AI.
Which AI does it use?
The one you pick in Settings, with your own API key. Your requests and screenshots go only to that provider.
Can I teach it my own routines?
Yes. In Settings → Taught tasks, name a task, press Start and do it once. Ask for it by name and Cougny replays the steps, with no AI call.
Can it run things on a schedule?
Yes. Ask, for example, “every weekday at 9, open my standup doc” or “when a PDF lands in Downloads, move it to Documents”. Schedules run while Cougny is open; Settings → Scheduled tasks pauses or removes them.
Does it work with any app?
It works with what it can see. It’s best in apps with real controls, and uses built-in commands and connected apps where it can.
Does it run on Windows?
Cougny is built for every computer, not one brand. It runs on Macs today, and Windows is coming soon. The engine talks to your system through one small layer, so each new platform gets the same Cougny.
